Stage Coach (1939)
Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, Stagecoach is a timeless classic, starring a stellar cast that included John Wayne, John Carradine, Thomas Mitchell, Claire Trevor and Andy Devine. It is also famous for one of the most harrowing stunts ever performed in a film by legendary cowboy stuntman, Yakima Canutt. Stagecoach tells the tale of a stagecoach under fire from Geronimo, while its nervous driver (Devine) struggles to deliver an odd mix of nine passengers to its destination. Nominated for five Oscars and winner of two in 1940.
