Noor, an American teen visiting Palestine, has her birthday plans interrupted with a sudden side trip to her aunt's home to avoid an imposed curfew. During the evening, Noor discovers her mother once lived in a Palestinian refugee camp, and her tragic hidden past. Noor is shocked by her story, and at how much her mother went through to give Noor the life that she has now. Noor’s new understanding helps her deal with a gun-toting soldier patrolling their grounds. Filmed in Jordan by Columbia University students.
